Indian pressure cookers that work on induction
A stovetop pressure cooker has no plug, so voltage doesn't matter. Your stove does. Many US apartments have induction or smooth glass cooktops, and induction only heats a magnetic base. "Hard anodized" and "stainless steel" don't tell you whether it's there.

The magnet test
Hold a fridge magnet to the bottom of the cooker. If it sticks firmly, it will heat on induction. If it slides off or barely holds, it won't, even if it's steel. Common 304 stainless is only weakly magnetic, which is why induction cookers have a plate of 430 stainless fixed to the base.
Same name, different base
Hawkins' Contura comes as the induction-compatible CXT range and the gas-only Contura Black. Prestige sells Popular Svachh in both gas-only and induction versions. Look for "induction" in the product title, not just in the photos.
Ignore the voltage field
Some Amazon listings for stovetop cookers show "230 Volts" or "1000 watts" in the spec table. That's a data-entry artifact. A cooker without a cord has no voltage.
Glass and coil stoves
Any flat-bottomed cooker works on electric coil and smooth glass-top stoves. On glass, lift the cooker instead of sliding it; the weight of a full 5-liter cooker can scratch the surface.
