110V mixer grinders that work in American kitchens
A mixer grinder bought in India runs on 230 volts. On a US outlet it gets about half the voltage it needs, so it runs weak and slow and can overheat under load. These 12 models are built for 110–120V and plug straight in.

How to choose
550, 650 or 750 watts
Most 110V Indian models are 550W, which handles chutneys, masala and small batches of batter. Go to 650–750W if you grind urad dal batter every week or dry-grind whole spices in quantity. Higher wattage also means more noise.
How many jars
Three jars is the usual set: a large one for batter and smoothies, a medium one for dry grinding, and a small chutney jar. Two-jar models suit couples and small apartments. Five-jar sets add a juicer and a second wet jar.
Why not a Vitamix or Ninja?
Indian jars are narrow at the base, so a few tablespoons of coconut or whole spices stay in contact with the blades. Wide American blender jars are made for volume and struggle with small quantities.
Before you click buy
- Read the title and the spec table for 110V. Some third-party sellers list 230V units, or units converted after manufacture, under the same model name.
- Check who ships it. Prefer listings sold or fulfilled by Amazon, or the brand's authorized US seller, so a return is simple if the wrong voltage arrives.
- Ask who honors the warranty. Indian brands' service networks are in India. In the US the warranty usually runs through the importer or seller.
- Look for UL. A UL mark on the listing is a good sign the model was built for North America.
Already own a 230V mixer?
You can run it through a step-up transformer sized about three times its wattage. Our converter-or-new calculator works out the size and whether it's worth it. The rubber coupler under each jar is the part that wears out first, so keep a spare: search mixer grinder couplers.
